Unveiled in 2018, the bust of Ivan Vazov—the “Patriarch of Bulgarian Literature”—is located in two symbolic places: the Court of Cyrillic in Pliska, Bulgaria, and the Alley of Poets in Bundek Park, Zagreb, Croatia. The Zagreb monument highlights cultural ties between Bulgaria and Croatia, while the Pliska installation honors Vazov’s role in preserving the Bulgarian language and national spirit.
